Welcome to the Official GoldMane Entertainment News blog!!!
Starting today I will be using this blog page for all news updates and info for my company GoldMane Entertainment (and Xmoor Studios!).
The NEWS button on my Goldmane website will send everyone here starting asap - this is a much faster way for me to add information since I have so many things planned for 2008 and want to post up sneak peeks of works in progress, tutorials, 2D artworks, shows I'll be attending and all my Xmoor Studios (indie comic book publishing company that publishes Galtow) endeavours as well. There will hopefully be some big changes and happenings for GoldMane in 2008 (and Xmoor Studios too!)
Just want to say thanks to all my friends, clients, associates and family for their unwavering support in 2007. It was a interesting year for me as I got to break out and do some of the things
I always wanted to do artistically for a very long time now.
On that, I'll close with my favorite phrase:
"Passion...will build you bridges from nowhere - to somewhere..."

The Revenant in color!!!
Doug McCord is the first to take a shot at painting up a Revenant bust - and as you can see from the results he was not fooling around (great job Doug!!!)...this is the first of many different color schemes to come for this bust. Since it's a "paint it yourself" garage kit who knows what will show up down the road.
More full color images can be seen here:
http://hauntedrevenant.blogspot.com/
The webcomic it's based on can be read here:
http://www.drunkduck.com/Tales_of_the_Revenant/
Dave Flora's Comicspace site:
http://www.comicspace.com/dave_flora/
The Revenant bust kit is now available for pre-order. For more info hit Dave (daveflora1968@yahoo.com) or myself (eric@goldmane.net) up via email. The Revenant bust kit retails for $65 (plus S&H) and will be very limited.

My next project from GoldMane Entertainment is:
“The Revenant!!!” - A resin kit sculpted by myself and produced by GoldMane Entertainment (www.goldmane.net). The sculpt is based off of a ghostly occult detective created by artist Dave Flora and featured in the noir webcomic “Tales of the Revenant”, currently hosted on DrunkDuck
(http://www.drunkduck.com/Tales_of_the_Revenant/?p=132906])....This beautiful, 6 1/2 inch tall 3-piece kit cast in a light grey resin includes great box art with a certificate of authenticity signed by both Dave Flora and myself (and a step by step booklet showing how the sculpt was made). It‘s priced at $65, and can be primed and painted or, since the webcomic is in a moody black and white, it can be enjoyed right out of the box!
If you are interested in purchasing one of these garage kits, feel free to email either Eric or David at - eric@goldmane.net or - daveflora1968@yahoo.com

It's so on next weekend!!!
I don't do a lot of customs (especially plush, actually never plush, LOL) - so when Erick Scarecrow of ESC Toy asked me to do a custom on his new line of DIY mushroom toys for his show - I said why not...Customizing plush is not easy I'll tell ya that! Took forever to come up with a idea and get everything together to pull it off....and yeah I'm late with it too (sorry E! hehe...) But I will have a customized piece in the show (don't screw me up Mr. Post Office!!!). This show is shaping up to be a blast from the lineup on the flyer and all the late additions...Oh - all the white DIY's SOLD OUT!
Better watch this Scarecrow kid - no sleeping here...nope.
ESC Green Liberty vinyl toy - sold out!
ESC Pink Liberty vinyl toy - sold out!
ESC White DIY plush shiitake mushroom's - sold out!
Kid's no joke...
Stay tuned for my free MoneyGrip vinyl toy (by Kano) free give away contest - that's next...

The ECBACC convention this past weekend in Philadelphia turned out to be quite a success. We sold out of all the advance issues of Galtow #3, color tshirts and posters we brought with us. We almost sold out of issue #2 (again) and even issue #1. The response to the Xmoor properties was tremendous and I just want to say a big THANK YOU!!! to everyone that attended and supported us this far. The convention was packed all day and had a really good line up featuring DC comic's Eric Battle (who I got to talk shop with - an immensely talented and all around great guy!) Kyle Baker and Dwane McDuffie. I got to also catch up with my old buddy Taimak (played Bruce Leroy in The Last Dragon) and you know I dropped a GoldMane tshirt and cinchbag on him (said he'd wear the tshirt too, hehe). So yeah - issue #3 of Galtow is finally now available!!!
Up next - Wizard World Philly!!! I think I'm starting to really like downtown Philadelphia....

Garage Kits!!!
Been a while since I did one but it looks like The Revenant bust sculpt (based on Dave Flora's hit online webstrip The Haunted Tales of the Revenant) will be available to own very soon. Thes kits will be produced by GoldMane Entertainment in conjunction with Dave Flora mid to late 2007...We're working on what these guys will go for pricewise and looks like there will be only 20 for now. We may even do a pre-order since so few will be available...we'll see.
They will come with signed certificates of authenticity by Dave Flora "artist etraordinaire" and myself...some assembly will be required and you'll have to paint it yourself - or don't - since we're looking to do them in a nice grey resin. When? Stay tuned!
Check out Dave Flora's blog:

Found this on Jpidgeon's blog - a really nice pic of my old Capt. Fred toy sculpt from the Mcfarlane Beatles yellow Submarine line I worked on a bunch of years back. This was a chase figure I'm really surprised was released at all at the time...Jeff had some really nice things to say about the line - thanks Jeff!...(quoted below the image) - I'm glad people really liked that Yellow Submarine line as I had a great time working on them with my old buddy Rick over at the old FunHaus...
J_pidgeon on flickr says -
I was ecstatic when McFarlane Toys announced a line of Yellow Submarine
figures - I love the film's design, and the prototype stills treated the
character models like holy writ. The line completely lived up its promise,
and my only disappointment was than it didn't go beyond two series of toys.
There were so many more cool characters and creatures to make!
The Beatle figures were all paired with a supporting character - Musicland had an
exclusive two-figure blister featuring Paul McCartney and Old Fred, the
captain of the titular ship. The sculpt here is terrific, and the paint work,
while a little spotty, is generally fine. Fortunately, the designs made for
meaty figures that stand well and won't sag over time.

These are the first wave of the Galtow Warrior limited bust variants...this series of 5 come with metal claws (like the original bust) and a metal sword. We have a few other variants in the works over at Xmoor Studios...maybe less than 5 of each probably...not sure yet. When I get the other variants done I'll take a pic of all of them together.
