Sleepy Poo!!!

Carnival Cartoons Pierce and Nathan exclusive colorway for the Vinyl Toy Network (http://www.vinyltoynetwork.com/) revealed!!! This first colorway of the dynamic duo will be limited to 50 pieces and is exclusive to 3D Retro.

The VTN show will be on Dec. 6th and 7th (Sat and Sun.) at the Pasadena Convention Center out in California. More colorways coming soon...I totally enjoyed sculpting these guys up for Jared and Garnet.

The Carnival Cartoons vinyl toy family just got a little bigger!!! From the exclusive Proto - Monday post up on Vinyl Pulse:

"Pierce and Dogboy are the Carney family mischief makers! Pierce is the quintessential bratty younger brother, and Dogboy is Pierce's pal, a loving pet, and... a fur covered wingman! Pierce relishes his gross-out gig as "The Human Pincushion" in the family sideshow act. (He's got more holes than a boardwalk put-put course). When Dogboy isn't doing double duty as the family's household hound, and Pierce's partner in crime, he wows the crowds at Barker's sideshow with his furry face and outrageous animal antics!"

I really enjoy translating Jared Deal's 2D art to 3D sculptural form - the guy's got his own style and it's a nice challenge to bring them to life. I've seen his colorways for these new guys and they're quite stunning.

What's this??? Hmmm....can't get enough of you know who...

PICANTE!!! - CPK resin toy contest and giveaway on ToyCyte's (http://www.toycyte.com/) CostoMonday!!! How you can grab it? Check it:

Going Under Construction Soon...

Hey all -
the Goldmane Entertainment website will be going under the knife real soon. Time to revamp and rebuild to the new version 2.0!!! Some of you may have noticed some changes already (some buttons in the site have been deactivated) and a brand spanking new division has opened up. I'll have a lot of new projects to put up and press releases to go out when everything is up to speed. There will be some good news dropping soon for one of the other divisions as well but I can't say much about that right now.

I also wanted to thank all of you who stopped by to take a gander and keep an eye on what I've been up to (and ran the site hits up past 50 thou). I'll be back soon with a all new look - so enjoy the site as is before we go under construction.

Thank you all...

Ghost Zero gets picked up by Moonstone Books!!! Congratulations goes out to Dave Flora on his signing with a high profile publisher for his Ghost Zero pulp action series. Can't wait to see the new artwork he'll be dishing out over At Moonstone (publishers of the Phantom and a few other great titles). Check out his blog for more details.

Technology - love it or hate it...been doing some "art to part" tests lately. This is the first of the latest batch so far. A 3 inch in length 1/6th scale laser pistol Rhino CG program sculpt printed out by a 3D printer.

The Buzz and Harriet designer vinyl toys by Carnival Cartoons are in Wonka Vision Magazine #42 with a nice write up! Way to go Jared!!! Awesome news...

My Rhino program dabbles. Decent learning curve for this program and it has one of the best work along tutorials to get you started.

The Dookie - Poo vinyl toy sculpt I did for Manny Galan get's reviewed by Plasticandplush online:

Cute little fella. Maybe one day we'll see the Tofu character in toy form too...Hmmm...

The Goldmane blog's gotta new look! I finally got tired of looking generic and thought I'd get to steppin around here and spruce the joint up. Been very uber busy lately with all the shows and conventions (and sculpt work) but I should have some updates soon enough. The next thing I'd like to do is get a little store up and running so look for the store button link on my main website - www.goldmane.net - very soon. Things at Xmoor Studios (www.xmoorstudios.com) have been heating up and munching my time as well. Go stop by the site - it's updated with some new goodies and a few surprises...

Got some Xmoor Studios news - Robert Garrett and myself would like to welcome Matt Beers of Vox (http://sandman.vox.com///) and of Vinyl Toy Freaks fame (http://vinyltoyfreaks.com/index.phpto) to our studio as our new Web Master for the Xmoor Studios website (www.xmoorstudios.com). Matt will be modifying and updating (and hopefully animating) our website content as of today so stop by and check out the updates in progress.

Also joining Xmoor Studios is illustrator extraordinaire N. Steven Harris (http://nstevenworks.com/2005/). Steven has a extensive background in pro comics as a penciller for Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image Comics. He'll be taking over the reigns to our new Inheritor series starting with issue #2. Issue #1 is complete and will be solicited very soon and it will have some preview pages of Steve's upcoming work on the next book. For those of you not familiar with Steven's work DC Comics has just released the 10 collected issues of Aztek - The Ultimate Man - written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by N. Steven Harris. I picked up my signed copy (see ECBACC con swagg image below) at the East Coast Age of Black Comics Convention this past weekend in Philly and can't wait to read it.

Welcome aboard Matt and Steve!!! Galtow 4 and Inheritors 1 - INCOMING!!!

ECBACC!!! East Coast Age Of Black Comics (http://ecbacc.com/wordpress/) - Sat Mat 18!!! I'll be there with my partner in crime Robert Garrett/ Xmoor Studios...
