The latest Xmoor Studio news:

Thursday, January 22, 2009

2009!!!!
Welcome everyone to our first Xmoor News update of the year.
Xmoor Studios has been low key on the information sites as Eric and I have been working tirelessly to develop our Intellectual Properties and take the next steps towards getting a bigger audience to embrace our books. Xmoor Studios will be at this February’s New York Comic Con (Feb. 6 - 8), at BOOTH # 948, sharing a space with our traveling partner the fantastic illustrator Steven Harris creator of the BrotherHood of the Fringe, and artist for countless fan fave books for Marvel, DC, Image and other publishers. We will also be there with our new partners in crime Shimmer Media who are developing a sensational teaser trailer for GALTOW using 3d CGI effects. Here’s a taste of what will be seen at the show:

We will also debut The GALTOW trade edition at the show… Issues #1 & #2 have been colored and given a whole new attitude. We have also included issues #3 and the unreleased GALTOW #4, along with some under goodies and pinups:

There is so much more going on and Eric and I will be updating everyone very soon on those news fronts but for now look, enjoy and hope to see some of you at the show!
Thanks
Robert Garrett

New York Comic Con is only weeks away. With that in mind Carnival Cartoons will be releasing the next colorway for their Pierce & Nathan set of Carney curiosities. The Carnival Cartoons PURPLE exclusive will be limited to just 100 PCS!!! Notice the logo on Pierces shirt... a combination of skulls, elephants, & flames! In case you haven't noticed each colorway will have a unique logo on the front of Pierce's shirt & the back of Nathan's. Pierce comes complete with actual piercings! Carnival Cartoons will also be offering quite an array of other items you'll want to get your hands on including... skate decks, prints, plush, & resin.
Not only that, but they will also be having a few friends stopping through to do signings!!! So be sure to stop through Booth #964, you're not gonna want to miss this.
Purple Pierce & Nathan is the second color release of the figure & will be available at Comic Con. If you are interested in the other Carney characters to complete your set (Buzz and Harriet) please contact DKE Toys (www.dketoys.com) to place your order.
"Pierce and Dogboy are the Carney family mischief makers! Pierce is the quintessential bratty younger brother, and Dogboy is Pierce's pal, a loving pet, and... a fur covered wingman! Pierce relishes his gross-out gig as "The Human Pincushion" in the family sideshow act. (He's got more holes than a boardwalk putt-putt course). When Dogboy isn't doing double duty as the family's household hound, and Pierce's partner in crime, he wows the crowds at Barker's sideshow with his furry face and outrageous animal antics!"
Pierce stands aprox. 5.5" tall while Nathan stands at 4"
Set will come complete w/ signed mini print!

Just want to say a big thanks to Jared Deal and Garnet Syberg Olsen for letting me sculpt up their exciting toy line. I hope we do a few more of these awesome figures!!!

When Charlie gives me the green light I'll post more images of the Space Monkey (and yeah that banana accessory can be removed from the curled tail...heh...) Can't wait to get a few more shots of that paint master myself - great job Charlie!

Wrapping up 2008!
Andy Heng over at the infamous ToysRevil blog (http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/) was gracious enough to grant me a year end interview. It talks about what I've been up to and trying to accomplish in detail for this past year. He even sheds a little light on my new little designer resin toy company Argonaut Resins (http://argonautsresin.blogspot.com/) with a few never before seen images. Thank you Andy and Happy Holidays everybody!! Stay safe and warm and may Santa bring you everything you asked for!

Carnival Cartoons Pierce and Nathan exclusive colorway for the Vinyl Toy Network (http://www.vinyltoynetwork.com/) revealed!!! This first colorway of the dynamic duo will be limited to 50 pieces and is exclusive to 3D Retro.

The VTN show will be on Dec. 6th and 7th (Sat and Sun.) at the Pasadena Convention Center out in California. More colorways coming soon...I totally enjoyed sculpting these guys up for Jared and Garnet.

The Carnival Cartoons vinyl toy family just got a little bigger!!! From the exclusive Proto - Monday post up on Vinyl Pulse:

"Pierce and Dogboy are the Carney family mischief makers! Pierce is the quintessential bratty younger brother, and Dogboy is Pierce's pal, a loving pet, and... a fur covered wingman! Pierce relishes his gross-out gig as "The Human Pincushion" in the family sideshow act. (He's got more holes than a boardwalk put-put course). When Dogboy isn't doing double duty as the family's household hound, and Pierce's partner in crime, he wows the crowds at Barker's sideshow with his furry face and outrageous animal antics!"

I really enjoy translating Jared Deal's 2D art to 3D sculptural form - the guy's got his own style and it's a nice challenge to bring them to life. I've seen his colorways for these new guys and they're quite stunning.

Going Under Construction Soon...

Hey all -
the Goldmane Entertainment website will be going under the knife real soon. Time to revamp and rebuild to the new version 2.0!!! Some of you may have noticed some changes already (some buttons in the site have been deactivated) and a brand spanking new division has opened up. I'll have a lot of new projects to put up and press releases to go out when everything is up to speed. There will be some good news dropping soon for one of the other divisions as well but I can't say much about that right now.

I also wanted to thank all of you who stopped by to take a gander and keep an eye on what I've been up to (and ran the site hits up past 50 thou). I'll be back soon with a all new look - so enjoy the site as is before we go under construction.

Thank you all...

The Goldmane blog's gotta new look! I finally got tired of looking generic and thought I'd get to steppin around here and spruce the joint up. Been very uber busy lately with all the shows and conventions (and sculpt work) but I should have some updates soon enough. The next thing I'd like to do is get a little store up and running so look for the store button link on my main website - www.goldmane.net - very soon. Things at Xmoor Studios (www.xmoorstudios.com) have been heating up and munching my time as well. Go stop by the site - it's updated with some new goodies and a few surprises...

Friday, May 23, 2008

Got some Xmoor Studios news - Robert Garrett and myself would like to welcome Matt Beers of Vox (http://sandman.vox.com///) and of Vinyl Toy Freaks fame (http://vinyltoyfreaks.com/index.phpto) to our studio as our new Web Master for the Xmoor Studios website (www.xmoorstudios.com). Matt will be modifying and updating (and hopefully animating) our website content as of today so stop by and check out the updates in progress.

Also joining Xmoor Studios is illustrator extraordinaire N. Steven Harris (http://nstevenworks.com/2005/). Steven has a extensive background in pro comics as a penciller for Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image Comics. He'll be taking over the reigns to our new Inheritor series starting with issue #2. Issue #1 is complete and will be solicited very soon and it will have some preview pages of Steve's upcoming work on the next book. For those of you not familiar with Steven's work DC Comics has just released the 10 collected issues of Aztek - The Ultimate Man - written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by N. Steven Harris. I picked up my signed copy (see ECBACC con swagg image below) at the East Coast Age of Black Comics Convention this past weekend in Philly and can't wait to read it.

Welcome aboard Matt and Steve!!! Galtow 4 and Inheritors 1 - INCOMING!!!
